What should we wear?
The number one asked question is “What should my family wear to the session?”. The answer? This is YOUR session, so wear whatever you want! The most important thing is to make sure that everyone is comfortable. If you feel uncomfortable, your images are going to look uncomfortable. Be comfy. Be you.
Here are some tips:
- Don’t be afraid of colors. Color is good. Solid white, not so much.
- Prints and Patterns are not a bad thing. Do try to stay away from loud patterns and logos however. Remember, the emphasis should be on your face, not your clothing.
- Outfits should complement each other, but avoid having everyone in perfectly matching clothing. Clothing from the same color palette or based on colors in one outfit tend to create a cohesive look without feeling too “matchy.”
- Layers and textures are good. Accessories can be fun.
Where can the session take place?
I am a natural light photographer so the majority of my sessions occur outdoors. Your front yard, a local park, options are endless.
Can I bring props?
If your kid has a lovey that they won’t let go of, bring it! Extra special blanket, throw it in the car and bring that too.
